Mercedes-Maybach on Monday unveiled the EQS SUV, an electric SUV based on the company’s superb EQS SUV.
This model includes ultra-luxurious details such as customized cup holders to hold champagne flutes.
The interior is crammed with special amenities such as wood panelling, front-and-rear massaging seats, and more pillows.
The dashboard has three huge screens, one for the instrument cluster, one for the centre stack, and one for the passenger.
The back seats are plusher than the front seats and include ventilation, massage functions, and neck and shoulder heating.
If the Executive Rear Seat Package Plus is chosen, the car has a calf massager, and when the rear seat reclines, the front passenger seat glides forward for more leg room.
There’s also a fridge section, foldable back tables, and separate storage for the champagne flutes.
This EQS model is the first Mercedes vehicle to use vegetable-tanned leather using tanning chemicals made from coffee bean shells.
The Maybach EQS has the same overall dimensions as its Merc counterpart, but the powerplant is substantially more powerful.
The Maybach edition gains power with an AWD, dual-motor setup producing 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft.
This is a huge improvement over the ordinary Mercedes version, which has up to 536 horsepower and 633 lb-ft of torque.
The electric range is also increased, with a tentative WLTP range of 372 miles per charge.
The top speed is 130 mph, and reaching 60 mph takes 4.1 seconds.
It has a significant boost in range and power over the conventional EQS, as well as enough luxury amenities to suit even the most extravagant high networth individuals.
Pricing has not yet been announced.
