Twitter CEO, Elon Musk has announced that he is hiring a female CEO to take over the affairs of the company.
The South African-born entrepreneur made the announcement via his official Twitter account on Thursday.
Although he did not reveal the name of the new female chief executive, he however explained that she would resume work in six weeks.
Musk tweeted, “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!’
”My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.’’
It is also worthy of note that Musk purchased the medium for $44million in October and since then the medium has been faes with series of criticism due to the changes that the new management introduced.
As soon as he gained his position as the chief tweet, Musk fired several executives and hundreds of staff.
Also, Twitter’s company name was recently changed to X Corp, which is what ‘X’ referred to in Musk’s tweet.
