Fresh information has emerged as the investigation continues over the death of the Cash App founder Bob Lee.
Bob Lee who was murdered last month by Nima Momeni was seen as a random act of violence.
However, friends of the tech founder stated it was a result of Lee’s partying with Khazar Momeni, the sister of Nima Momeni — who has been charged in his death.
Lee was part of an underground sex, drug, and party scene for years prior to his death, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Lee’s involvement in the scene was reported by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday, citing interviews with several of the tech executive’s friends and coworkers who described his actions in the days and weeks leading up to his death.
The report also shed more insight into Lee’s possible connections to his accused killer, computer consultant Nima Momeni.
Prosecutors say Nima had asked Lee if he and his sister were ‘doing drugs or anything inappropriate.’ but Lee assured him that nothing inappropriate was going on between them, and a few hours later, Lee was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
According to the report, Khazar was still texting him, informing him that he saw his brother hit him and admiring his penis.
Lee had multiple narcotics in his system at the time of his death, according to a toxicology report revealed earlier this month, including alcohol, cocaine, and ketamine.
Aspects of Lee’s final hours before his death have been documented in court records, including prosecutors’ claims that Lee spent part of the day with a group of acquaintances that included Momeni’s sister, Khazar Momeni.
The Journal also reported that Lee had a relationship with at least one other woman who Momeni had previously dated, expanding the two’s relationship beyond what prosecutors had reported.
Krista Lee, Lee’s wife, told the Journal that despite their separation, the two were close and she had no idea why he was labelled as a “party boy” by others, saying that the most she suspected was that he was micro-dosing ketamine to alleviate depression.
According to friends and coworkers, while Lee was brilliant and dedicated to his career, he also enjoyed partying and doing drugs while attending parties around the world.
